Part Two: A Hallmark Journey Built on More Than Romance
Cole’s Hallmark journey has covered a surprisingly broad range of stories. She has appeared in romantic comedies, Christmas films, mysteries and movies centered on family, friendship, community and second chances. Her credits include Appetite for Love, My Summer Prince, Christmas in Homestead, The Art of Us, Christmas Festival of Ice, One Winter Weekend, Falling for You, One Winter Proposal, Matching Hearts, Unlocking Christmas, Making Spirits Bright, Pumpkin Everything, Long Lost Christmas, Aloha Heart and A Reason for the Season, among others.
That variety matters because the appeal of a Hallmark performer is often connected to whether audiences believe them in different emotional circumstances. Cole has had opportunities to show that she can carry a story without making every character feel exactly the same.
Her work in the Ruby Herring Mysteries, for example, gave viewers something different from the traditional romantic formula. As Ruby, she played a crime reporter who becomes involved in murder investigations, giving her the opportunity to combine determination, curiosity and emotional intelligence with the lighter chemistry audiences expect from Hallmark.
Then there are the Christmas movies, where Cole seems especially at home. Christmas Festival of Ice placed her at the center of a story involving a beloved community tradition, while Unlocking Christmas paired her with Steve Lund in a holiday adventure built around a mysterious key and a Christmas riddle. Making Spirits Bright brought her together with Carlo Marks in a story involving rival holiday decorating families, old tensions and the possibility of reconciliation.
Those films illustrate one of the reasons Hallmark audiences continue returning to Cole. Her characters are often surrounded by the familiar ingredients viewers love—beautiful locations, seasonal decorations, family gatherings, small-town traditions and romantic possibilities—but the emotional center is usually something more universal.
It may be the desire to reconnect with someone. It may be learning to let go of an old disappointment. It may be finding courage to choose a different path. It may simply be realizing that happiness can arrive when life does not look the way you originally imagined.

It is also why the idea of seeing her in a princess-themed Hallmark romance is so easy for fans to imagine. The elegant styling, romantic settings and fairy-tale atmosphere would certainly suit the kind of heightened holiday fantasy Hallmark often creates. Whether that particular casting dream ever becomes reality is another question, but the appeal is obvious: Cole already possesses the poised, sophisticated presence that such a role would require.
