Premiering on Hallmark Channel on December 14, 2024, the 85-minute holiday romance stars Kimberley Sustad as Kate North and Benjamin Ayres as Dan. Kate finds herself reluctantly taking over her father’s struggling Santa school, while Dan, a former instructor at a rival school, becomes part of her team. Their professional history gives the romance an immediate spark, but the movie wisely refuses to make the relationship its only source of entertainment.
At the center of the story is a wonderfully unusual idea: a school devoted to training people to become Santas. It is exactly the kind of premise that could become too silly if the performers did not fully commit to it. Fortunately, The Santa Class embraces the ridiculousness rather than apologizing for it.
