Krakow actually requested Hynes for the role of David, explaining to Entertainment Tonight that she thought he would be particularly well suited to the part. Hynes confirmed that Krakow had specifically asked for him, adding an interesting layer to a pairing that fans immediately embraced.

Their connection is what gives the film its spark. Their scenes work because the attraction is not presented as something that exists only in grand romantic declarations. It appears in teasing conversations, awkward moments, shared laughter and the little pauses between lines. Those quieter exchanges make the relationship feel more personal.
